Our client is a well-established chemical import and distribution company, working across New Zealand and Australia. With a strong presence in the market, they take pride in sourcing quality chemicals and raw materials for a wide range of applications across agriculture, animal health, food and nutrition, health, cleaning and the textile industry. The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Assistant to join our client and contribute to ensuring the company's compliance with all laws and regulations, through maintaining and augmenting the company's Quality Systems.
Duties include:
- Checking product Certificates of Analysis for shipments
- Assisting with audits of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety systems
- Monthly H&S inspections
- Issuing new or revised procedures
- Updating and sending Safety Data Sheets to customers and stakeholders
- Liaising with suppliers and updating and maintaining specifications and technical information
- Assisting with customer enquiries and requests for documentation
- Training of staff in SH&E issues
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate, or someone early on in their career, with a tertiary qualification in/or related to one of the following areas: Chemistry, science, health science, food safety and quality or technology, health and safety or environmental regulation.
