Our client are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Procurement Specialist to join their New Zealand team. This role will focus on applied professional and accurate quoting to assist our team in quoting customers and agents, procuring cost pricing, and reporting on results. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in freight forwarding operations, quoting, and supplier management, with a strong understanding of how to achieve required GP (Gross Profit) levels.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Procure cost pricing from suppliers, overseas agents, and offices to ensure accurate and timely quotations
  • Accurately quote customers while achieving required GP levels and ensuring quotations do not fall below minimum GP thresholds
  • Report on conversion rates to relevant parties to ensure transparency and performance tracking
  • Manage and maintain customer and agent tariffs, ensuring up-to-date and competitive pricing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including third-party suppliers, agency branches, and government agencies
  • Provide valuable feedback to management regarding market trends, sales successes, failures, and customer feedback on service and pricing
Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • 5+ years of experience in International Freight Forwarding with a strong operations background
  • Experience in quoting and cost pricing
  • Proven relationship-building skills and strong communication abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is highly regarded
